Kody McElveen was fleeing from the police because a deputy observed his Dodge Challenger Hellcat lacked license plates. During the pursuit, McElveen hit a police officer with his car, causing minor injuries to the officer, who was treated subsequently.
McElveen was later apprehended in a Rouse's parking lot after trying to escape on foot. He was found to be carrying a firearm at the time of his arrest. He faces multiple charges, including Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle Upon a Peace Officer, among others.
Shocking video captured a man throwing several rocks onto the 110 Freeway near downtown LosAngeles overnight, which caused a motorcyclist to crash.
The photographer who took the video, #ScottLane with OnScene. TV, says he saw the rock-thrower walk away eastbound on 23rd Street near Figueroa.
"Motorcyclist didn't want to talk on camera," Lane added. "I noticed he did have a GoPro on him. It wasn't rolling so we don't have the crash caught on camera from that angle. Luckily, he was OK."
Lane says he didn't call 911 but gave his footage to the California Highway Patrol. He says other drivers, including the motorcyclist, also didn't call police to report the incident.
