Owners of a family-run convenience store in SanJose were beaten by thieves stealing beer. The two sisters who were attacked are now seeking justice.
It happened at Smile Market on North 4th Street in San Jose’s Japantown last week. The thieves tried to take a can of beer when one of the sisters tried to stop them. Both suspects hit her and pushed her to the ground.
San Jose police say the suspects were gone by the time officers showed up. A detective has been assigned to the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
Four people in the passenger compartment of the car managed to get out of captivity and a few minutes later the vehicle was buried under a rock. The accident was caused by difficult local geological conditions, aggravated by recent heavy rains.
