A 49-year-old woman died after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing Avenida Amazonas to drop off trash in Pará de Minas. The accident, recorded on Saturday (19), was reported on Monday (21) by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). The Military Police (PM) also attended the scene.
According to the military, the woman was moving to put trash in the central reservation when the motorcycle driver, suspected of being drunk, failed to brake and hit the victim. She died at the scene.
The 24-year-old motorcyclist was rescued by Samu and taken to the hospital. He was conscious but confused, with a cut on his upper lip.
A witness told the police that, moments before the accident, the motorcycle driver was seen drinking alcohol. The PM confirmed the drunkenness based on the motorcyclist's slurred speech, alcohol breath and mental confusion.
The forensics team was called and arrived at the scene. The body was sent to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML).
A man was shot dead on Monday night (21), in the condominium area near Sesi in Petrolina. According to initial reports, the victim is personal trainer Giovanny Diniz.
In a video posted on social media, a hooded man fires at least seven shots at the personal trainer, who still tries to defend himself, but is unable to.
A little over eight months ago, Giovanny was hospitalized after trying to save his wife (also a personal trainer), who suffered an electric shock while handling the clothesline at home, in the Padre Cícero subdivision. The woman died. So far, there are no details about the motivation for the personal trainer's murder.
