A man killed his wife and committed suicide in the Periperi neighborhood, a railway suburb of Salvador, on Monday morning (11/20). The case took place on Rua 1º de Abril. It is the second femicide in the capital of Bahia in less than 24 hours.
According to the source of Informe Baiano, the crime took place at the couple's residence. The victim worked as a day laborer and was identified as Tamires Macedo, 34 years old.
The man's name was Raimundo, 35. He stabbed the victim to death and then hanged himself. The two had lived together for five years and had a troubled relationship.
The case is investigated by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
