The Poso Police Chief, AKBP Arthur Sameaputty, when contacted by Radar Sulteng, said that the perpetrator DA was with his 3 friends. "The four perpetrators have been arrested in three different places, the main perpetrator is DA who is none other than the grandson of the two victims, the perpetrator's grandfather and grandmother," he explained.

The Police Chief Arthur Sameaputty explained that the perpetrator DA, 4 days ago stole a cellphone and Rp400 thousand in cash belonging to his grandfather, then 2 days later the perpetrator DA stole his grandmother's cellphone again. From the results of the examination of the perpetrator, the money and cellphone from the laundering from his grandfather and grandmother were used to buy crystal methamphetamine and to pay for his date. "So the perpetrator stole and slashed his grandfather and grandmother to buy crystal methamphetamine," he said.

When the interrogation was carried out, continued Chief Arthur, one of the other perpetrators named Fajar had warned DA that what they did stealing money and cellphones could be dangerous, if DA's grandfather and grandmother reported it to the police. "At dawn, the perpetrator DA came to his grandfather and grandmother's house and immediately carried out the slashing and stabbing of his own grandparents," he said.

Chief Arthur added that when arrested, the perpetrator DA gave an alibi that he was not the perpetrator because he claimed to have just arrived from Morowali. When further investigation was carried out, DA admitted to slashing his grandfather and grandmother and also admitted to using the stolen money to buy crystal methamphetamine.

"The case has been upgraded to the investigation process and a press release will be carried out in the next few days. This case has become the attention of the Poso Police, considering that the main perpetrator is a minor who is still 17 years old," he explained.
