When checked by neighbors, the victim who was sleeping on the bed was already on fire. Local residents then tried to evacuate the victim.

"When checked, the victim had been burned, and the residents immediately evacuated him to get medical help," he said.

Ardiansyah said the victim is currently undergoing medical treatment at Awal Bros Botania Hospital. The victim is estimated to have suffered 90 percent burns.

"The victim is being treated at Awal Bros Hospital," he said.

Ardiansyah said his party is currently still investigating the cause of the incident.
