Small Plane Crashes And Hits Bus Stop In The South Zone Of Teresina

A small plane crashed this Sunday (09/08) near a bus stop, near the Lourival Parente viaduct, on BR-316, in the southern part of Teresina. Initial reports indicate that the pilot was trapped in the wreckage, but his health status is still unknown.

The pilot of the plane was identified as doctor Jacinto Lay. He was trapped in the wreckage after the crash, but was rescued minutes later by locals. Wearing a shirt and shorts, he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Before crashing, the aircraft collided with a passenger transport van, only stopping when it hit the structure of an urban transport integration stop.

A couple and two children were inside the van. According to information obtained by meionews.com, everyone is fine and was taken to the Promorar Hospital to have the glass shards removed.
