Israeli Intelligence Agencies Reported A Failed Terrorist Attack In The Country's Capital

The incident occurred on Lehi Street in Tel Aviv. An explosive device with striking elements detonated in the bag of a 50-year-old man. He died in the explosion, and one passerby received multiple shrapnel wounds. 

Security forces assume that for an unknown reason the attacker's IED detonated prematurely. According to the intelligence agencies, he was heading to a more crowded place - a nearby shopping center or synagogue. The identity of the deceased is being established.
